Privacy Policy

This page explains what sendajoy.com keeps about you and why. We collect as little as we can. Questions or requests: hello@sendajoy.com.

What we keep

• Your order: the names you enter (For / From), your letter, and the piece you chose. These are needed to make the gift page.
• Your email, if you give it: to send you the gift link, the sketch, or news about your order.
• Custom requests: your story, style and music choices, date, and the photo you send for a portrait.
• Payment details: the amount, the transaction hash and the wallet address it came from. These are public on the Ethereum blockchain anyway; we keep them to match your payment to your order. We never ask for card numbers or private keys.
• A scrambled trace of your IP address (a one-way hash, not the address itself), to stop abuse such as one person holding every piece at once.

What we do not do

• No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no selling or sharing your data for marketing.
• Your letter and names appear only on your private gift page, which only people with the link can open. Gift pages are hidden from search engines.

Your browser

While you pay, the site saves a small note in your browser (local storage) so that the payment panel comes back if you reload the page. It is removed when the payment is done or the hold ends. We use no cookies.

Services we use

• Hosting: DigitalOcean (the server is in Singapore). Domain and DNS: Cloudflare.
• Email is sent through Google (Gmail).
• Fonts load from Google Fonts and the QR code script from cdnjs (Cloudflare); these services see your IP address when your browser loads them.
• To check payments we read public data from Ethereum nodes; we send them nothing about you.

How long we keep it

Order details stay as long as the gift page exists, because the page is built from them. Requests that never got paid are deleted after 12 months. Portrait photos are deleted 90 days after the work is finished. You can ask us to delete your data, or your gift page, at any time; we will do it within 30 days, except what we must keep by law.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@sendajoy.com. If you are in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The shop is for adults. Please do not send us data about children without the consent of their parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.

Visit statistics

We keep our own visit statistics to understand which pages people use: the page, the referring site, browser language, time zone and device type. We use no cookies and no third-party trackers, and we do not store IP addresses — only an anonymous code that changes every day, so visitors cannot be followed over time. This is our own visit statistics, kept on our server.
