A small ritual
On the first morning, I like to open the window wide, even if it's cold. The air smells of fireworks and promise. Then I make tea, the kind we always had at home, and I think about what I want to leave behind and what I want to carry forward. It's a simple thing, but it sets the tone for the whole year.
Three observations for the occasion

Words for the moment
Here's to the new year – not just the one on the calendar, but the one we make. May you find peace in the quiet mornings, warmth in the connections that matter, and courage to let go of what doesn't serve you. May your home be full of laughter, your table never be empty, and your heart always know where to turn. Let's raise a cup to what's been and what's yet to come. Cheers, and happy new year – may it be kind to you.
Happy Chinese New Year
Wishing you a year of gentle beginnings.
