We paint it in oil, stroke by stroke, and turn it into an artmoovik — a short film where the painting appears to its own song, with their name and your letter. It arrives as a private link, anywhere in the world, in 1–2 days.
Who it is for
For the first anniversary, when a paper card feels too small. For the tenth, when you have run out of ideas. For the twenty-fifth or the fortieth, when the two of you have a lifetime of photos and no good way to give one back. It works for a husband who says he needs nothing, and for a wife who has every piece of jewellery she wanted. It works at a distance: if you are apart on the day, the gift still arrives at midnight.
What they will see
They open the link. Their name appears. Then a blank canvas, and the first broad strokes of your photo — a wedding, a holiday, the kitchen where you first had coffee together. Smaller brushes bring out the faces, the last highlights land in the eyes. The whole time, a song plays that was made for this painting. When the last stroke is placed, your letter appears beneath it, and a certificate number that says this was made once, for them.
Prefer a ready-made piece? “Ever-Fixed Mark” — a lighthouse in a storm, two people and one red thread that holds them together — is painted to a song after Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116. Add their name and your letter and it is yours in a minute.
What to write in the letter
You do not need to be a writer. Three or four sentences are enough: where the photo was taken, one thing you remember about that day, and one thing you want to say now. If you need a start: “Through every storm you have been my lighthouse. Twelve years, and I would choose you again. Happy anniversary.”
How your photo becomes a painting
We do not run your photo through a filter. The painting is made the way a painter works — large brushes first, then smaller ones only where the detail is needed, then glazes and highlights, every stroke recorded. You can watch a sample on the how it is painted page. Any clear photo from a phone is fine; faces and good light matter more than resolution.
What it costs
Two ways to order, two prices:
- $25 — made from your photo or your story. Attach a photo, write the name and your letter. We paint it in oil, stroke by stroke, and send you a private link within 1–2 days.
- $35 — a ready-made artmoovik from the gallery. A finished painting with its own song, personalised with their name and your letter. Yours right after payment.
Why is the custom one cheaper? Because you give us the photo and the story — the painting is yours from the first stroke. The gallery pieces are finished works we sell as numbered editions of one for each name.
How to order
- Choose “Made for you” (attach a photo) or an artmoovik from the gallery.
- Write their name and your letter. You see the gift page exactly as they will.
- Pay, and get a private link. Send it whenever you like: the page opens with their name, the painting with its song, your letter and the certificate number.
Questions
Is this a physical painting? No. It is a private web page with the painting appearing stroke by stroke to a song, your letter and a certificate number. Nothing is shipped, so it arrives on time anywhere. You can also save the final frame as an image and print it if you like.
How long does it take? A painting from your photo is usually ready in 1–2 days. A ready-made artmoovik from the gallery is yours right after payment.
Can I send it to another country? Yes. The gift is a link — send it by message, email or play it on a big screen at dinner.
Which photo works best? One where the faces are clear and the light is good. A wedding photo, a holiday snapshot or a selfie all work. We do not need the original file.
Can I see it before they do? Yes. You preview the gift page exactly as they will see it, with their name and your letter, before you pay.
Is it really one of one? Yes. Each artmoovik carries its own certificate number and is never repeated or published without your permission.
