An AI-made song as a gift: an honest guide before you order one
AI music tools can now write and sing a song about almost anyone in minutes. That makes a personal song affordable, but it is not the same as a musician sitting down with your story. This guide explains what you actually get, where it shines, where it does not, and how we use it at Sendajoy.
What “AI-made” means here
In an artmoovik, the song's music and singing are generated with AI music tools, and so are the lyrics, unless you supply your own. The input is the story you write: who the person is, places, small details, the mood and the voice you chose. A person chooses and edits the best result, but no human sings or plays on it. Other parts are not AI-generated: the painting is drawn by code that places brushstrokes one by one, the idea and images come from the artist Kir Klend, and your letter is written by you.
Where AI songs do well
- Speed. A song can be ready in a day or two, not weeks.
- Cost. A personal song becomes possible on a small budget.
- Details. Names, places and private jokes can all go into the lyrics.
- Range. Folk, 60s pop, ballad, cinematic, synthwave: you can hear the moods on the order form before choosing.
Where they fall short
- No one is behind the voice. Some people will feel the difference, and for some that matters a lot.
- Names can come out wrong. Unusual names may be mispronounced. Spell them the way they sound in your order.
- Vague stories make vague songs. If you give only “she is kind and beautiful”, the lyrics will sound like a greeting card.
- It is not a performance. Nobody will play it live at the party; it plays from a screen.
When to choose a human instead
If the person is a musician, or loves live music above everything, a song by a real songwriter or a performance by a friend may mean more. The same goes for a wedding first dance you want sung in the room, or a gift where the effort itself is the message. Other good human options: record your own voice, even unsteady; ask a choir or a music student; or make a playlist of songs that already belong to your story. None of these are worse than an AI song. They are different gifts.
Should you tell them it was made with AI?
We think yes, and we always say so ourselves. Many people do not mind how the music was made when the story in it is true and the letter is from you. What can sting is finding out later and feeling misled. A simple line works: “I told the story, the music was made with AI, and every word of the letter is mine.”
How to get a song that sounds personal
- Write at least five concrete details: a street, a meal, a nickname, a habit, a date.
- Choose the voice on purpose: female, male, a duet for a couple, or no vocals if the letter should lead.
- Listen to every mood on the form before you choose one.
- Use your own words if you have them, even just a chorus.
- Keep the letter human. It is the part they will reread.
Price, timing and the token
A made-for-you artmoovik is $25 for the song and painting, with a first sketch of the final frame within 24 hours and the finished piece usually 1–2 days after you approve it. If it is not made, the money is refunded in full; a first sketch that is not right is redone once. Each piece is made once and also exists as a 1 of 1 token (NFT) of the painting and song, without the names or letter. Think of it as a record that the piece exists, not as an investment.
Ready letters you can use
Paste one under the film as it is, or change every word — the letter appears at the end of the artmoovik, after the last stroke.
“I'll be honest with you, because you'd see through me anyway: the music in this was made with AI. The story is all ours, though. The night bus, the dumplings, the argument about the map. And this letter is mine, typed with two fingers at midnight. Happy birthday. I am so glad you exist.”
“I can't sing and I can't paint, so I told the story and let the machines do the parts I can't. What I can do is tell you this: you made this year easier just by being in it. Thank you. Stay until the last frame.”
“This song was made with AI from a page of memories I wrote about you. The painting was drawn stroke by stroke by code. The only thing a computer did not touch is this: I love you, and I am proud of how far you have come.”
Questions
Is it okay to give an AI-made song as a gift? Yes, as long as you are honest about it and the story is real. The personal part is what you tell and what you write in the letter.
Will they be able to tell it is AI? Some people can, some cannot. It is better to say so yourself than to leave them guessing.
Is the painting AI-generated too? No. It is drawn by code that lays brushstrokes one at a time, like a painter, without image generation. The idea and images come from the artist.
Can I give my own lyrics to an AI song? Yes. Paste them into the order form and choose to use your own words; the music is made for them.
How do I pay for an AI song gift? Payment is currently in USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) only.
